short and sweet
Jenny LeClue
iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux, PS4, Switch
Really cute little whodunit with great characters and a pretty intriguing story. The gameplay mechanics are not difficult at all, and it's really easy to play. The only problem I had was that it ends on a cliffhanger obviously setting up a Jenny LeClue 2, but we haven't really hard anything about that in years.
Timespinner
Windows, Mac, Linux, PS4, Vita, Switch, Xbox One
Super great little Metroidvania (exploration genre with acquired skills unlocking new paths in areas you have already been) game. I played this one several years ago, so I'm a bit loose on the story, but I remember it being pretty good actually. I should do that New Game+ :) The world is very fleshed out and the gameplay mechanics feel so so good.
Ikenfell
Windows, Mac, Switch PS4, Xbox One
A tactics-like game about students at a magical school. If you're looking for that kind of setting and correctly hate Harry Potter, check out Ikenfell! The characters are all well written, the whole game is super queer, and the battles are fun! I would recommend entirely turning off the Timed Hits mechanic, as this game is _pretty_ unforgiving with the timing sometimes. But that's what the accessibility options for, which it has quite a lot of, a very welcome addition. The music is completely stand-out top fucking notch.
