Stargate

I already talked a little bit about reading the Stargate Atlantis Legacy books, the books that take place after the final season of the show. They’re not the most well written books: lots of repeated writing tropes, simple errors like regularly misspelling Kusanagi’s name and then in the next sentence spelling it correctly (howwww), a couple instances of just fully using the wrong pronoun just once for any character.. it’s weird. Definitely a small operation. That said, the authors clearly love and understand the setting and the characters. All of these stories feel just right and I can easily imagine watching these as episodes or season arcs.

There are eight Legacy novels and then there are three novellas and one more novel that are all set after the series. I think there are some further anthology books that tell stories from both SG-1 and Atlantis throughout a variety of different eras. I think they are also written after Legacy though, so any story about the future would be in the context of Legacy. Anyway, this has been a TON of reading and it’s clear there’s more to go. I am finally in the last novel at least. It’s taken me nearly two months. All I’ve read is Stargate this entire time. I’ve barely played a video game. I’ve not read anything else. Stargate Stargate Stargate. It’s almost like binging the TV show!

Collar

I bought myself a collar! I don’t envision myself as any kind of furry, or catgirl, definitely not a puppygirl, or anything like that. I’m not into BDSM. And the only person who has ever got me to be subby was S, otherwise I lean far more dommy (though pretty switchy with my wife). But I really like the collar!

I previously wore a cheap necklace from 2019 through 2025 until the metal chain patinaed so much that it was giving me rashes :( I nearly forgot how much I enjoy having something around my neck. This collar feels incredibly comfortable and I can wear it for a full day. It made me so happy that I took a lot of glamour/lewd photographs that I’m getting a lot of mileage out of :)

Some slight bad: carpal tunnel and arthritis

This is not recovering like it did last summer. The arthritis is especially bad, mostly in my furthest out finger joints… That is a big problem for many hand things that I do.

Another bad: I feel broken

I’m trying to talk to new people to distract and/or move on, and I just.. can’t. It’s so difficult. I’m still grieving L so hard.

Trying to talk to people, keep running into my own emotional walls. I don’t know if I should be pushing myself or giving myself time instead. I’m grieving so hard and I just feel so closed off and alone but I also want to push everyone away and curl up into a blanket ball for five months

SGDQ2026

My wife and I are attending SGDQ2026 in a couple weeks! Our second time, and I intend to be a lot more social this time. Hoping to make some gay video game nerd friends, trans fem preferably :)

HRT

I’ve been on shots for a while now, and while today’s bleed an extra amount it didn’t hurt at all. I’m super getting the hang of this and injections are helping so much :)
